Volkswagen Taigun costs are down to as much as Rs 1.1 lakh.

Volkswagen has quietly lowered the price of a few Taigun midsize SUV models. The current price range for the Volkswagen Taigun is Rs 11.90 lakh to Rs 18.90 lakh. Five variants, including the entry-level 1.0 TSI Comfortline, 1.5 TSI GT Plus Chrome, the same variant with more amenities (see below), 1.5 TSI GT Edge, and the same (again with additional features) are now less expensive out of the total of 21 trims available, including distinctive colors.

Volkswagen Taigun against competitors: Initial cost

The price of the entry-level Taigun Comfortline has dropped from Rs 11.70 lakh to Rs 70,000 less. It is only available with a 1.0-liter TSI engine that produces 115 horsepower and a manual gearbox. This implies that the Taigun’s beginning pricing now equal the base prices of the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara, at Rs 11 lakh, and undercut competitors like the Toyota Hyryder (Rs 11.14 lakh) and Honda Elevate (Rs 11.69 lakh). But the starting price of the Kia Seltos (Rs 10.90 lakh) is much cheaper.

The Taigun GT Plus Chrome trim, which has additional features like electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lighting, a subwoofer, and an amplifier, is priced at Rs 18.69 lakh, down from Rs 75,000 and Rs 1.05 lakh, respectively. The higher-spec variation of the same name is also available. Volkswagen has also reduced the price of the Taigun GT Edge, which is now the top variant, by up to Rs 1.1 lakh. The current price of this variant is Rs 18.90 lakh for all models. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine of the Taigun GT Plus Chrome and GT Edge models produces 150 horsepower and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
