Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is expected to launch in India in January 2024 in the expected price range of ₹ 3,00,000 to ₹ 3,50,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to Shotgun 650 are Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 & Keeway K-Light 250V. Another bike similar to Shotgun 650 is BSA Gold Star which is launching in December 2024 in India.
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is a factory custom motorcycle that takes inspiration from the rich and varied community of custom motorcycle builders. The motorcycle will be launched in India in January 2024.
The Shotgun 650 will be offered in four paint schemes –Green Drill, Stencil White, Sheet Metal Grey, and Plasma Blue. It will be available as a single-seater in its stock form, but the company will also offer an accessory pillion seat, which can also be converted into a luggage rack.
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will be powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin motor that pumps out 46.40bhp at 7,250rpm and a peak torque of 52.3Nm at 5,650rpm. The oil-cooled engine will be paired to a six-speed gearbox, while a slipper clutch will also be on offer.
Coming to its cycle parts, the Shotgun 650 will come shod with a 100/90-18 cross-ply tyre at the front and a 150/70 R17 radial tyre at the rear. The tyres will be wrapped around tubeless alloy wheels at both ends. The bike will drop anchors with the help of a 320mm disc up front and a 300mm disc at the rear. The safety net will include dual-channel ABS as standard.
The suspension tasks will be handled by Showa separate function, big piston USD forks up front and Showa twin spring shocks at the back. The Shotgun 650 gets a suspension travel of 120mm at the front and 90mm at the back. Further, it comes with a fuel tank capacity of 13.8 litres and has a kerb weight of 240kg.

Royal Enfield has unveiled the production-spec Shotgun 650. It is based on the Super Meteor 650's platform but there are a lot of design changes. You can check out the bike in images here. The Shotgun 650 gets a chopped rear fender design, a different headlight cowl, a flatter handlebar with bar-end mirrors, mid-set footpegs, and twin blacked-out and slightly upswept peashooter exhausts. It gets the same 648cc parallel-twin engine, making 47PS and 52.3Nm.
Suspension duties are handled by a specially-tuned Showa inverted fork and dual 5-step preload-adjustable rear shocks, while braking is taken care of by disc brakes at both ends measuring 320mm up front and 300mm at the rear. The bobber comes with a 795mm seat height (55mm more than the Super Meteor), 140mm ground clearance (5mm more than the Super Meteor) and 240kg kerb weight (1kg less than the Super Meteor).
