Earlier this year, Hero updated the XPulse 200 4V and gave it a new variant.
Price:
The XPulse 200 4V comes in two trims: the standard one, which costs Rs 1,44,776, and the Pro version, which is priced at Rs 1,52,151 (these prices are for the ex-showroom in Delhi). The standard variant offers three colour choices (Matte Nexus Blue, Techno Blue and Black Sports Red), while the Pro variant stands out with its special Rally Edition paint job.
Features:
The BS6.2-compliant XPulse 200 4V gets a more powerful LED projector headlight which claims a remarkable 230% increase in brightness. Additionally, the bike features a relocated USB port within the instrument cluster and revised switchgear. The updated console displays real-time mileage as well as three ABS modes. On the Pro variant, meanwhile, you get handlebar risers, an extended gear lever, a longer side-stand, and longer-travel adjustable suspension at both ends. The Pro version also stands out with Rally Edition body graphics, giving it a sportier look.
Both get the same LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity through the Hero Connect app. It provides access to useful functions like tow alert, accident alert, last parked location tracking, geo-fencing, and malfunction notifications. Other updates for the new XPulse 200 4V include a 60mm taller windshield for improved wind protection and fuller, closed-loop hand guards. The rider's footpegs have been adjusted to enhance comfort during off-roading. They are now 35mm lower and 8mm more rear-set, ensuring a better riding experience in diverse terrains.
Engine:
The heart of the XPulse 200 4V is its 199.6cc, single-cylinder air-and-oil-cooled engine making 19.1PS and 17.35Nm. The powerplant comes mated to a 5-speed transmission.
Suspension & Brakes:
For the Base variant, the XPulse features a 37mm telescopic fork with 190mm of travel at the front and a 10-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock with 170mm of wheel travel. The Pro variant, on the other hand, takes things up a notch. It offers fully adjustable front suspension with an impressive 250mm of travel. At the rear, it also comes with a 10-step preload-adjustable monoshock that provides 220mm of wheel travel.
Braking duties on both variants are managed by a 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. Accompanying them is a single-channel ABS system. It rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels. There's a 90-section front and a 120-section rear tyre.
